What is Massage?
Massage is movement of the muscles in the body, which in return removes stress and soreness in the muscles. Massage can also help the healing process after injury.
You are able to choose freely between several types of massage, whether for relaxation or recovering after an injury.
DThe best type of treatment depends on your special needs. Your treatment can be soft gentle strokes, which enhances peace and relaxation, or a deep tissue massage, which stretches the muscles, gives flexibility and removes myalgias.
All treatments are done with nurturing ecological oils which are absorbed by the skin.
Classical Swedish massage
This is the most traditional type of massage in the west. The massage consists in changing strokes, they can be both long and short, slow or fast, superficial or deep, all depending if the required effect is to be relaxation or energizing.
Relaxing Massage
This type of massage consists of very slow, warming strokes. It includes face, feet, hand and stomach, all according to your wishes.
Trigger point massage
This type of massage or muscle treatment is especially effective in loosening muscle tension, but also a bit painful while it takes place. The treatment consists in finding the right trigger point (special muscle fibres) for a specific muscle with tension or pain. The massage therapist then presses firmly on this trigger point from 10 seconds up to as long as one minute, whereby the muscles then relaxes.
Therapeutically stretching
Tensed muscles or pain is very often a result of bad posture or too tight or weak muscles. Different types of stretching techniques will be applied to improve the condition.
Aromatherapy
A complete independent type of massage, gentle, relaxing and pleasant. The intention is the therapeutic effect of specifically chosen plant extracts added to the base oil, which makes this massage very special.
Your massage therapist will mix together a range of essential oils, which each have their own properties, to match your special needs.
